Before coming to Bethel, Pete and his wife Allison served from 1996 – 2012 as overseas missionaries with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. They served 8 years in Ecuador, South America and the remaining time in Central Asia. Pete then served as a state missionary in partnership with the Baptist Convention of New Mexico. He was called as the pastor of Bethel in October 2018. He has a BS in Agriculture (wildlife biology) from New Mexico State University and an MDivBL from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pete and Allison were married in 1993 and have a daughter, Emily, and a son,

Jacob. He loves spending time with family and being outdoors hunting,

fishing or just “tramping around”.

One of Pete’s favorite life verses is:

“The world with its desires is passing away,

but the one who does the will of God remains forever.”

1 John 2:17

A "pastor's kid" raised here in Roswell, Mary grew up singing in church and continues that today as our Music Director. She and her family have served in the community all her life. Besides leading the music ministries of Bethel since 2015, she is also the choir director at Goddard High School and Berrendo Middle School. Besides singing, she loves spending time with her children and grandchildren.
