OUR MINISTRIES

Bethel Nursery and Bethel Kids

Serving His children from birth to 5th grade.

At Bethel Baptist Church, we take seriously the commands given in Scripture to teach all generations. We see our ministry to children as a partnership between our church and families to produce life-long followers of Jesus within a fun and safe environment centered on Jesus.

Come join us this Sunday!

In the Nursery Ministry, we believe you’re never too young to hear God’s Word. We provide a safe and stimulating environment for babies (newborns – 18 months) and toddlers (up to 4-years-old) to help each child grow physically, spiritually, and socially.

The Nursery Ministry has adopted – and follows – strict policies for worker and volunteer/helper qualifications, as well as sign-in and sign-out procedures. We provide child care on:

Sunday Mornings 9:30 – 12:00

Sunday Evening 5:00 – 6:00

Any questions, please contact our office 575-622-8182 or secretary@bethelroswell.com

We look forward to meeting you and your children!

Bethel Music Ministries

The Music & Worship Ministry of Bethel Baptist has a place for you!

Our Music & Worship Ministries play an important part in the life of the body of Christ here at Bethel. There are numerous weekly opportunities for you to get involved and share your God given talents and gifts.

The Bethel Choir- Is a mixed volunteer choir made up of all ages who are interested from high school thru senior adults. The choir rehearses Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00pm in the choir room at the church. The choir is an open invitation choir: there are no auditions or tryouts, although an ability to read some music & follow notes is helpful. If you have been given the gift of music, we invite you to become a part of our choir.

Special Music- If you are gifted instrumentally or vocally and have a desire to share the gift God has given you, please contact the church office. They will work with you and our music director to put you on the schedule to share your gift in morning worship

.

The Audio/ Visual Ministries- are a vital part of every service, program and fellowship here at Bethel. Computers, sound boards, mics, projectors, lights and sound have become a necessary part of our present age. Words need to be seen on screens, voices need to be heard in balance with other voices and instruments; and none of this happens by itself. If you have skills in any of these areas of ministry, please contact the church office.

Singspiration- is a special time where the church comes together to share their gifts and talents. Each time there is a “fifth Sunday” in a month, we hold this special event either in the afternoon or evening. Members volunteer to share a song, a piece of music or thoughts and testimonies. Before or after these fun, casual events the church normally holds some type of fellowship activity (a luncheon, an ice-cream social or dessert fellowship). It is a fun way for the church to fellowship together as family and enjoy each other’s gifts.

As you can see, there are many opportunities for you to share how God has gifted you here at Bethel. If you are interested in any of these please call the church office for more information 575-622-8182.

Senior Adults

Young at Heart is a senior adult ministry here at Bethel. The group meets once a month for a pot luck luncheon and a program, that varies from month to month. Past programs have included: Bluegrass music, the “Racataps” tap dancing group and others. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 11:30 am with a break during the summer (June – August). If you have any questions or program ideas, please call the church office: 575-622-8182. We hope to see you there!

Student Ministries

“Salt & Light” Student Ministry

Salt & Light student ministry is driven to reach students!  We minister to (and through) students from 6th through 12th grade.  This ministry is committed to teach and show the love of Christ. Our goal is that our students would learn about Christ's love and saving grace and come to know Him intimately in a one on one relationship that will be shared with their families and friends. We want to equip each person with the knowledge that they need, to live in this world to honor and glorify God. We strive to use new and innovative ways to reach this generation.  Jorge Puentes, our Youth & Chilren's Pastor, leads our youth Bible study on Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings there is a youth and young adult study in the youth room

Join us each week for our regular weekly activities:

Sunday Morning Bible Study                           9:30 am - 10:30 am

Thursday Bible Study & Fellowship                 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

In addition we have fellowships, retreats, summer camp, Mission Trips, Mission Projects, concerts and all manner of other God honoring activities.

First Saturday of the Month

Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

It is the goal of the Men’s Ministry to provide opportunities for fellowship and service for men of all ages. Our meetings are informal, informational and there is something available for all men, regardless of the amount of church experience (great or small). Men are given the opportunity to serve God, one another, and the Church and to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.   An ongoing event in the men’s ministry is the monthly men’s prayer breakfast. This is held the first Saturday of every month and begins at 8:00 AM. If you are interested, please come and enjoy a great “home cooked” breakfast and a time of fellowship and prayer with other men.

If you would like more information on the Men’s ministry of Bethel, please contact the church office 575-622-8182.

First Tuesday of the Month

The Women’s ministry of Bethel encourages women of all ages to develop deeper relationships with the women of our church and community. Whether it is through Bible study, a special event, luncheons or our women’s mission group, we see each activity as an opportunity to get to know each other better and serve and minister to the community.

An ongoing event in the women’s ministry is our monthly meeting of the women’s mission group. They meet the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am and have a time of fellowship and participate in service projects such as: outreach to Roswell’s First Responders, our local school teachers and administration, and Operation Christmas Child.

We would love to have you join us! If you need more information on the Women’s ministry of Bethel, please contact the church office 575-622-8182
